Project Description

The Brief

ESP had carried out some fantastic work in the North West region and were therefore recommended to Canon Sharples CofE Primary school from another local school. During the initial meeting our representative Sam Nichols met with both Jen Woodcock (Headteacher) and Rose Crompton (Business manager). They both had an expansive creative vision to completely overhaul the KS1 & 2 playgrounds as they were currently uninspiring and no where near challenging enough for their active children.

Following on from the initial meeting, our design team produced a plan with a real ‘WOW’ factor which matched the school’s ideas and vision with ESP’s unique products, such as our new Wild Wood Range, interchangeable switch panels, our amazing tangled structures and unique playground markings that are accompanied with accredited CPD training for staff.

The installation was carried out and completed during the summer holiday and Jen was determined to keep this project a secret from the children and parents. On the return to school in September the children were completely amazed with the transformation and there is no better feeling than experiencing first hand the impact a project like this can have on a school’s morale. From the before and after pictures you can see that from start to finish, including the initial meeting, through to design and installation, the project was a complete success.
